Fionnuala Sherry is known around the world as one-half of the duo Secret Garden. With Secret Garden she has sold nearly 5 million albums, won the 1995 Eurovision Song Contest and played on sold out tours around the world. Her songs have been covered by some of the finest musicians of our time including Barbra Streisand, Celtic Woman, Josh Groban and Il Divo (just to name a few)! In addition to lending her violin talents to numerous film scores, she has worked on projects with Bono of U2, The Chieftains and Sinead O'Connor.
Songs From Before is Fionnuala Sherry's long awaited solo debut. The album features some of the most recognizable melodies from Ireland's rich musical culture. Her interpretations breathe fresh air to classic traditional Irish pieces including "An Cuilfhíonn" "My Lagan Love" and "Our Wedding Day" ("She Moved Through The Fair").
The album is slated for a June 21, 2011 release date, but is available now digitally (in both MP3 and FLAC lossless formats) and for CD pre-order at www.valley-entertainment.com.
