Therese Schroeder-Sheker - The Queen's Minstrel

Soprano and medieval harpist Therese Schroeder-Sheker's 1987 Windham Hill Records debut is back in print!  One reviewer described the album as "delicate and incandescent", remarking her singing as a "silvery thread, supported by her liquid harping".

Since her 1980 Carnegie Hall debut, soprano and medieval harpist Therese Schroeder-Sheker has amounted quite a distinguished career.  Her breakout 1987 Windham Hill Records' album The Queen's Minstrel is still a fan favorite and has been long out-of-print - making new copies nearly impossible to fine.  One reviewer described the album as "delicate and incandescent", remarking her singing as a "silvery thread, supported by her liquid harping".

Through her experience as a music-thanatologist, Therese created the Chalice of Repose Project.  The project's mission is to lovingly serve the physical and spiritual needs of the dying with prescriptive music.  Because of this expertise, she has served as an academic dean and professor at the School of Music-Thanatology, Artist and Clinician in residence at The Catholic University of America, Fellow for the Center for Religion, Ethics and Culture at The College of the Holy Cross and a source for countless major national news outlets.
