The quatrains were translated into the Sicilian dialect with the exception of two songs in which the original Persian language was used. Traditional instruments from the Mediterranean regions were incorporated throughout including the mandolino, marranzano, daf, tarr, and darbouka as well as instruments from Persia: the santur and duduk.
Like previous works of Milagro Acustico, The Rubaiyyat of Omar Khayyam, is a concept record. The realization of the project required more than two years of work.
What has been produced is a moving interpretation of the poet’s work and a brilliant blending of cultures and traditions.
