Product Description
"[The Bruce Katz Band's] Three Feet Off the Ground is a release that blues, jazz, and rock fans alike will want to hear."
-Alex Henderson (All Music Guide)
Eleven years of piano training led a young Bruce Katz to a wide appreciation of music, including blues, jazz, rock and honky tonk. After studying jazz and bebop at Berklee College he hit the road for roughly 14 years playing with such greats as Big Mama Thorton, Mighty Sam McClain, Bo Diddley, Chuck Berry, Johnny Adams, Jimmy Witherspoon and Ronnie Earl. In the early 90s, burned out from constant gigging, he returned to New England Conservatory where he received his Masters in jazz. He played on 6 records with Ronnie Earl's Broadcasters and then formed his own band.
Bruce's fan base includes fans of traditional jazz (Hammond B3 lovers) and lovers of the blues. Because of his extensive touring, those fans are spread out across the country. Recently, he has begun to get considerable attention from fans of other `jam bands'. Like many of the young bands currently offering compelling mixtures of musical styles coupled with entertaining live shows, Bruce has recently seen a surge in fans who follow such artists as Leftover Salmon, String Cheese Incident, Dave Matthews Band and others.
This is the CD quality, digital version of the album in FLAC (16-bit/44.1 kHz) format - 345.2 MB.
